LAX-IAD pretty nice flight in C on the 777. No complaints.

Changing planes in IAD. Get to Gate A6 for RIC (scheduled 4:50pm departure), and it's delayed until 7:41. Frustrated, I check with the agent, very dismissive, gives reason of "late arriving aircraft" for the delay. I ask about meal vouchers, etc... He refers me to the HUGE Customer Service Line. No thanks.

Go to C gates and approach the CS agents about meal vouchers...you think I was asking for the moon. Ended up getting $7 per person (2 of us). Lots of whining about "well, there's no meal on your flight" and "we ususally don't give them out unless the delay is 4 hours." Whatever.

Head back to C17 RCC, delayed until 8:08 now. Approach the CS agent there. She couldn't have cared less. I ask about compensation...she offers $50. Wow...what a gesture.

Hanging out at the RCC, end up seeing a couple of mice running around. Take pictures of them. Approach the CS agent (with my phone to show her the pictures). "Oh yeah...we have them." WHAT?! Can't you even feign surprise here and ACT horrified? I ask to speak to a supervisor. She calls, no sup calls back or shows up. I leave my card on the way out and ask if she can have the Sup call me as I'm heading to my flight. Her reply: "I'm not your personal concierge." Hmm...so I'm asking to speak to a sup about your rodent infested club, and I'm the bad guy. Nice.

No sup ever called.

Flight from IAD-RIC is short. Not ONE mention/apology from the gate agent, crew, flight attendant for the 3 hour delay. They couldn't have cared less.

UA sinking to new lows on a daily basis.
Unacceptable.

Send an email to UA regarding the apathetic employees, and advise you have pictures of rodents in their facilities where they serve food with intent to contact the Health Dept and the Washington Post. I ask that you please do contact the Health Dept for all of our sakes. If rodents exist in RCC, and rodents are on a plane between IAD > PEK, they likely have a rodent infestation. Disgusting.
