Just want to add a recent experience where it matters - in LH Y long-haul. I was travelling on LH779 SIN-FRA with a V-Class tix and even though the plane was almost full in the back (maybe 4-5 seats left empty I was pleasantly surprised to find the middle seat next to my aisle seat being blocked (in the middle row of 4 seats) which made the horror trip a bit better. Thanks LH for that - it was here that it mattered to me. ^
