I had a positive experience the LAST time I e-check-in'ed before flying. I was scheduled to stay at the Tyson's HI and when I became stuck at ORD, it took some pleading but I convinced them to uncheck me and the let me out of any cancellation fee. I believe it was approaching dinner time when I learned that I would not be leaving ORD that day.
