Online booking travel insurance opt in or out?
I am not sure if it is me, but I have received a letter today from BA Travel Insurance regarding my purchase of the insurance for my trip next week, and telling me it had been charged to my card.
I don't ever recall having checked the box to say I wanted to buy their insurance, as I don't need it as I have a plat amex which more than adequately covers me.
My question is, is this an opt in or out on the booking process, and if it is opt in, has it changed recently as in the many bookings I have made online with BA, I have never noticed it being an opt in, or is it just me now I am the wrong side of 40....???
And typically on the letter there is only the customer service line number, which after holding for 30 mins gave me another number, which is only available mondays to fridays froom 9-5....
