Her paper itinerary shows the flight going from STL to LAX and mentions a plane change. But it doesn't give any connection information. It doesn't say where it is stopping or what the other flight number is. Further on in the itinerary in the small print it says "For at least one of your flights, you must change aircraft en route even though your ticket may show only one flight number and have only one flight coupon for that flight"

When she came to STL the itinerary showed her stop in DEN and connection information but nothing for this return flight. And come to think of it, won't she need a boarding pass for that connection?

As I've said, we normally fly AA and I haven't seen this before. How do we get connection info and a second boarding pass. Wait until checkin on departure day?

Comments? Suggestions?
Thanks
'morning...

is your daughter's flight (with the "unknown conx") all one flight number? if it is then that's why there is nothing other than "For at least one of your flights, you must change aircraft en route even though your ticket may show only one flight number and have only one flight coupon for that flight" as it is a "thru flight" and ua doesn't put any other info on the itin. if there is an actual change of flight number then it will be a true conx vs a stop simply w/change of aircraft. best bet is to check at the point of origin to find out where the stop is and see if you can get a preliminary gate #. then prior to landing have your daughter ask one of the f/a's if it's possible to get a gate number for the "new/thru flight" and then of course check the monitor upon arrival.

if she's going stl-lax i'm wondering if the stop is either gonna be at ord or den and if so, both can result in a bit of a schlepp depending on the gate assignment but in any event, if it is all the same flight number, then she will be able to get her bp's at her point of origin when she checks in.

lastly, if you have flight info and post it here, i'm sure one of the "wonderful folks here at the ua forum ^" will be able to get the info you need
