Ok, so I got my status match to plat and I'm off and running on NW.
Here was my intro:
1st call to elite line, "Good afternoon Mr. L, how can I help you today?" Greeted by name, that's nice. Followed by, "Welcome to NW, thanks for comming over". It's amazing what an impact good customer service has. Financially, good attitudes cost nothing relative to the benefit to the company. I was impressed.
Then, today, I standby for an earlier flight and get cleared to F. Two class on the RJ is pretty nice. Is it the same as F on a mainline? No (smaller seats, but bigger windows, which I like). Is it nicer than Y on mainline? Yes! Is it nicer than Y on an RJ? Is the Pope Catholic?
About 30 minutes into the flight something starts to smell pretty good. About 15 minutes later I am presented with THREE meal, not snack, choices...On a RJ...wow...
So I'm off to a great start, even though I will need to spend some time with Dr. Phil to address the mental confusion caused by meal service on a RJ
