Land-of-Miles - If the power loss occurred at 500ft as has been reported then the crew were less than 45 seconds from touchdown and faced with an unplanned emergency. The chances of the flight crew having time to do anything other than fly the plane are slim. They managed to put out a Mayday call, if they'd tried to call the cabin crew it would be all over before the CSD even picked up the phone.
