the panasonic bd30 reads SDHC chips in AVCHD format and dumps it out in 1080i (I think) thru HDMI. also does blu ray 1080p

SDHC chips are cheaper than that 80 gig sony hd.(was anything from sony ever cheap( or a decent value)

16 gig sdhc's are now down to $72. divides nicely 4 bucks a gig.
