In the biz world I think people used to pay full pop for J. But those days are gone. As farawaygooner points out, it's getting difficult to fly J these days.

My company has always had the policy that flights over 6h are up front but everything else is back of the bus. Despite that policy, in the old days people almost always managed to wrangle a way to get up front somehow. These days it's hard to even get onto an airplane, let alone up in J. There's a lot more scrutiny on expenses and as the US economy continues to slide it'll likely get worse for many of us in the business world.
