AA Plats, AA Exec Plats and AC members have been able to access the Qantas Clubs for as long as I can remember but you need to be departing on a QF flight, including domestic, or any oneworld airline to gain access.
Oh you do not need to tip the bar staff, in the clubs that have one.
Final note QF is currently rebuilding several clubs, Cairns (CNS) and Sydney international (SYD) so the facilities are not extensive at the moment and for domestic SYD, domestic Melbourne (MEL) and domestic Brisbane (BNE) there will be new lounges open for oneworld emeralds and QF Domestic Business Class passengers.
Thanks for the info! One more question, do you know if they will give some sort of lounge access at CGK for an AA Plat? I am pretty sure there is no actual QC there, but they probably have a partnership with another lounge.
