I sometimes wonder if AC's long term plan is to eventually get rid of domestic J and make it like J on some European carriers, where there is a curtain that they move up and down the aisle and block off middle seats. It would be quite easy to justify when nobody pays for J. What gets me is that they offer a good product on routes like YUL/LHR, which are not much longer than routes like YUL/YVR where they really offer nothing premium at all. Is it me, or 5 years ago did more people pay for domestic J? as they didn't have pass holders filling up the J cabin.
