Some clubs asked to see a boarding pass as well. When I asked why, they said the QCs are departure lounges, so all entrants, including QC members, need to by flying an outward flight on Qantas in order to qualify for admission.

I was allowed one guest into the clubs. This worked well as my wife and I are both AC members, and we were traveling with my parents. We each were allowed to guest in one of them. At several clubs I was allowed a second guest with no problems, though I was told this is an exception, not the rule. They said they will allow this because AC members get two guests at their club, and we are often confused (this happened when I took my parents in by myself, so the exception could have been more easily come by because we are all family).
This sounds most amazing. Since when did AC membership grant access to anything other than AC (and, since 2007, a separate card for access to Regus facilities...) ? Where is this documented?
