Small and often overcrowded and noisy. When I was last there this month (January) it was packed with families and loud kids. In Brazil allowing children to scream and run amok is considered normal, so be prepared. I was hit by crayons thrown by a girl who appeared to be about age six, in a tantrum.
There are three computers with free net access, but they are often dominated by kids playing games. Paid wireless access is available, but the signal is weak in the lounge--particularly in some corners where couches are located. (Plus the wireless service at GRU often doesn't work, no matter where you are.) There are no electrical outlets for laptop recharging in the sitting area. There is one phone for free local calls and one pay phone.
Free snacks, drinks and coffee, though. Newspapers and magazines, but none in English (nor would I expect there to be any).
Access is free with Amex gold and up. I think you can pay a small fee for access with Amex green. However, it is outside customs and in a remote area of the airport, so those required to stay inside the international area of the airport can't use it.
