Looks like if your AC is on the ground you're seeing some mild (30min - 1.5 hour) delays... but if your AC did not make it into ATL and was diverted or delayed at its point of origin you're filght has likely been canceled and you'll need to rebook on another flight tonight, possibly even tomorrow (I think they announced a flight to Islip, NY would require a rebook for tomorrow morning).
I'm sitting on DL 4228 right now, we're at the gate -- they're not even bothering to have us get in line for deicing. They're estimating 90 minutes from when we closed the doors before deicing, so we're looking at another 60+ minutes. We were scheduled to depart 2:10 ago.
It's bad sitting at the gate.
It's worse when you consider we're on a CRJ-200 that's sold out.
