From a corporate perspective, Apple has another big winner. They have their niche well targeted. I'm just close enough to their demographic that I can feel the waves of lust and envy passing just outside my "space" without rushing out to buy.
I love Apples - having owned one in some form or another since 1982. And I love the idea of the MBA. But it doesn't strike me as a serious road warrior ultralight as much as an attempt to make ultralights interesting to average consumers. Apart from the backlit keyboard (great feature), there is sufficient hassle factor on the I/O stuff (sorry, when I am sitting in an airport lounge in Narita I may not be able to do the whizbang wireless I/O that Apple proposes instead of old fashioned media, and I like on board DVD drives) to make me stick with my Sony TZ.
