Cumbersome procedure to get BPs in front of FRA RCC

I was at FRA on 6 Dec and it is not possible anymore to receive BPs at the RCC. Outside the RCC a special check-in area (2 mobile podiums) is set up for connecting pax to get PBs, followed immediately by the security check. This applies to EVERYBODY regardless of class travelled in. AFTER the security check entrance to the RCC is possible.

This new procedure is in stark contrast to the situation before allowing you to get the BPs in the quiet/confortable surroundings of the RCC. I did not see any happy faces at all (including the check-in staff) about this change. It also appears overloaded as all connecting Y-class customers are getting their BPs there as well. On the day I was there a group of about 12 pax (several in C-class) came from a delayed LH flight and showed up 35 min. before departure of their UA flight. They were turned away by staff with the explanation that they were too late for their flight. Prior to this you would just walk to the gate, get your BP at the gate podium, pass security there and definitely make your flight within the time those particular pax still had at hand. If this procedure continues there is no way the 45 min. connection time at FRA holds up.

Furthermore incoming pax on the way to the RCC/arrivals facilities are required to go thru the same security procedure, having to share the same lines as the departing pax.

Overall a very unsatifactory experience. I hope UA will reinstate RCC check-in as it was done for many years before.
