When I have checked baggage, I get off the plane, take the bus to East Boston, get my car, drive back to terminal B and park, and walk into the baggage area. Most times, my baggage has not yet arrived.
When someone inbound calls me from the plane taxiing in - usually off a redeye but any time of the day or night, actually - I tell 'em I'll meet 'em curbside on the lower level outside of baggage claim.
Then I either get dressed or, if I am dressed, finish what I'm doing, find my car keys (5 minutes or so right there) get the car out of the garage, and only then take a leisurely drive to Logan from Cambridge.
Nine times out of ten I'm waiting for them, not the other way around.
I used to be a booster but every day the evidence here says American's Boston station is in serious trouble. Where is AA management? What are they thinking? It doesn't take us writing about problems here for them to know about 'em but even when we do nothing gets better.
