Correct. When you said "Earn 1 mile/$3 spent ...". Shouldn't we assume you are going to pay with cash?

I'm positive you aren't going to earn points if you book with points!

And BTW, if they are only offering 1 mile/$3 spent, that is considerably less than what they used to offer. A $150 room will earn you 50 points, where as they used to offer 200 miles for a hotel booking (and 100 miles for a car rental booking).
