My partner and I were there in August '07. We were enjoying the lounge hors d'oeuvres (or maybe tea service) one afternoon when we became aware of some commotion. A Filipino woman (she spoke Tagalog to her group) was there with a collection of people (some children, some possibly servants). One of the lounge employees (a very nice man who often brought us hot tea) asked her which room she was in and how many guests she had for the hors d'oeuvres (or tea service). She got very upset and said "We're Pappas!" as if the mere mention of the name would strike fear into his heart. Then, she said in angry voice to the woman at the desk, "Your boy was questioning me! That's a shame! Tell your boy not to question me." My partner is convinced she's the wife of a prominent crime boss, and when the lounge worker wasn't there the next day, feared she'd had him "taken care of".
