Hope this isn't a sign of the future.

On time boarding for DL 1538 (MSP-SLC) started with F as usual. We (zone 2) then queued up at the gate and GA told us she was going to board everyone else next, no zones. I replied that the Medallion zones should be boarded next; she ignored the suggestion.

Meantime the GA called all non-revs to the podium and let them board.

Then she called for all passengers, all rows ....

This was an MD-90. It bottlenecked rather quickly. FA announcement try speed things up a bit referenced the "quagmire in the aisle".

Maybe the real expectation is that NW will acquire DL, and the GA's at NW hubs are practicing for the future?

In-flght was ^ as usual, now in SLC lounge looking forward to the next segment.
