I just need to know if they will automatically and instanteously give me a travel voucher certificate # by email or in my onepass account and whether I can use that voucher for me And my wife as oppose to just me.

I usually fly southwest and there, if you cancel, you can use the credit on the confirmation # right away and (I think) use it on a PNR even if its more than just yourself.
