Yeah, I have been in TPA from 2004 to April 2007. I went into airside A & E, too. I such that I am never had anything problems with me from TSA at TPA. I was cleared security checkpont in Airside E. I remember that I was there during visits in TPA some day off from work. I won't go back to TPA for a long time. TSA was asking me to take off the shoes but, it doesn't sense problems the shoes back in April 2007. TSA seem enough anymore new rules about taking off the shoes.
