when deplaning (or more accurately, when waiting to deplane after the door is open), people should feel free to walk forward if they are in the aisle and have all their belongings in their hands. This frees up more aisle space for others to exit their row and collect their stuff, speeding up the process.
I see people frequently waiting for every person from every row in front of them to climb out, then wrestle with their bags from the overhead when they could have just walked forward and cleared the aisle.
I'm not suggesting people should push their way forward, but if the aisle is clear, please start walking, even if people are still in their row ahead of you collecting their things.
Let's agree on a chivalry exemption for this situation. People have connections to make.
