in my former life (300lbs, 6'2") I always purchased an extra seat or paid for C or F (before I attained status and could upgrade)...

In fact, on a recent flight (WN

) I was seated next to a POS who had evaded WN's extra seat requirement. This gentleman spilled into my seat considerably... I noted this problem to the FA. She said the flight was oversold... the gentleman was deplanned promptly and rebooked on another flight (don't know if he was required to purchase another seat or if his IDB compensation was applied to said purchase)...
