I really like how WN makes people buy two seats if they take up more than one. This seems eminently reasonable to me; I'm surprised nobody else does it. So far I've been lucky enough not to have to worry about it on UA flights, but I did get to sit next to a fat guy on a WN flight who bought two seats. as a former POS myself I feel free to comment...
in my former life (300lbs, 6'2") I always purchased an extra seat or paid for C or F (before I attained status and could upgrade)...
airlines MUST make this mandatory ASAP it is very inconsiderate to non-POS's
In fact, on a recent flight (WN
) I was seated next to a POS who had evaded WN's extra seat requirement. This gentleman spilled into my seat considerably... I noted this problem to the FA. She said the flight was oversold... the gentleman was deplanned promptly and rebooked on another flight (don't know if he was required to purchase another seat or if his IDB compensation was applied to said purchase)...
