Actually, I think there is a reason. The Sumaq lounge is not OW. So, they would not be expected to be up on OW rules (or those for any other alliance that uses the lounge). A PLT card really does mean nothing to them. The invite card is what matters. Contrast this with a lounge run by an OW member. These folks do have to know the different OW partner card, levels and such.
