I often travel alone, or with my son. Over the years, I have learned to always book the hotel room in my husband's name. I've only been questioned once by the front desk clerk, and I explained that he would be joining us later, even though he wasn't. I don't want ANYONE in the hotel to know that I'm a single woman traveling alone.
