My wife will be staying in a hotel for a few nights (just her and our 9 year old daughter).

I have a PhD in worrying. In fact, I think I may win the Nobel prize. I am nervous and opposed to the whole thing, but her mind is made up that she wants a girls weekend.

Anyway, apart from general safety tips you can offer, should I ask her to request any special type of room within her booking category (low/ high floor, near/ far from elevator, club level, whatever...).
