Well this may not make me popular but here goes.

Pushed back early on the 443 from AMS last night, took off on the near rwy, zipped over the North Sea, ginned and tonicd, circled for 10 minutes but it was so clear out I didn't mind, landed on the southerly rwy, taxied into a central stand, dashed off the plane, got to arrivals, saw a horrrrrrrendous queue for ROW passports (something I've never bothered to change, so I freaked out a little bit), dashed through Iris, went downstairs, saw my bag on the carousel , did a double take, grabbed it, got to the HEX platform with a train leaving in five minutes, at Paddington went up and over to the Hammersmith and City Line a few stops and literally had a mindscrambler moment when I realised I was door to door from the centre of Amsterdam to the centre of London in three hours and 45 minutes with a checked bag.
