I'm always amazed with the awards coming out of US courts: ~1M$ for damages (?) to a concrete (!) house caused by a starting Concorde... This reminds me of the Bic lighters that, when introduced to the US market some 30 years ago, and after a couple of lawsuits with similar results, carried a sticker warning people that they could self-ignite in the pocket, damaging one's reproductive organs...
