It's funny that you mention CO. Sept 06 we were supposed to fly HNL-LAX-IAH-DEN on CO(on a DL award no less). We boarded in HNL and supposedly someone sat in first class, ordered a drink, then either got off the plane or moved back to Coach. After about 45 minutes of trying to figure out where the person went, they decided it was a security risk and dumped the pax off the plane, brought on the sniffer dogs and sheriffs to search the plane. Overall it cost about 2 hrs, forcing us to miss our LAX cxn. In LAX it was a zoo, but when we got to the counter, they said they would get us to IAH and then we'd have a 24+ layover. We asked to be moved to a n/s to DEN on UA, and without too much fuss, they did it. Not sure if CO policies have changed or if it was easy because it was a DL award or what.
Anyway, getting slightly off topic with that.
