out one other possibility if those points are appealing: the Continental World MasterCard, also from Chase. It comes with 25,000 OnePass miles, which can be converted to AGR points at a 1:1 ratio. I think the terms are pretty similar, although if you do a lot of Amtrak travel, I think the Amtrak card gives you a bonus on Amtrak fares, which may be an attractive feature.
You could always apply for both, although with these sign-up enticements one has to weigh the hassle associated with signing up for another credit card.
Just as an FYI - the Amtrak CC has a
$-0- annual fee, but the CO CC has a (IIRC)
$85 annual fee!
