They're no legacy carrier... not to say legacy carriers are perfect..
I'm sure you're right about ATA not re-accomodating passengers on other carriers. However, have you ever flown CO during irregular operations. They absolutely don't want to re-book you on another airline!
I only fly ATA because of the cheap fares and the fact that you can buy them through WN (and have WN's generous re-use policies if my travel plans change).
