My wife and I each received a card within one week, however both of us have Chase MP Visa's so it probably did not involve running credit check. My son applied and recieved letter asking for him to show proof of his residence and he also has Chase MP Visa; he is college student doing semester abroad and all his recent charges have been in Southeast Asia. I guess it just depends on individual situation.
