I vaugley remember something in the BA Fourm, where you could buy airmiles flights on BA metal, and they book into a mile earning bucket.
I just did a little research, and a BMI MAN-ORD-MAN flight costs 7000 Airmiles (or 4,200 miles + £190.00). The intresting part when bringing up the fare rules was it books into a revenue fare bucket (V - or 100% earning both legs = 7628 BD Status Miles).
Since I don't collect AirMiles, I can't really say if this works for BMI... guess there's only one way to find out....
