On a separate note, the flight in F on the way here was excellent ^ Looking forward to the flight back, assuming I make the connection

Well, in my situation above, 70 mins should NOT have been sufficent. My arriving flight to CDG landed 40 mins late at 9:45. We deplaned at 9:50 with stairs leading down to a bus. Keep in mind this is 2B, and I have to get to 2E for a US-bound flight leaving in 25 mins (right!). I had already given up hope when I see an AF employee at the base of the stairs holding a sign with my name on it. She rushes me off into a separate van and drives me straight to 2E. We run inside bypassing every line in sight. I clear passport control and security like everyone else (just without any lines) and make it to the gate and onto the plane, escorted every step of the way. I don't know how they even knew I was on that incoming flight since it was ticketed separately on another airline, but AF deserves major kudos for their OUTSTANDING service. Their F product (L'Espace Premiere) clearly goes beyond the in-flight experience, which I might add was also great.

(Sorry if this got a bit off topic).
