I've flown ATA to Hawaii twice on a 757-200. Never had any problems. The interior of the plane was spotless. The cabin crew was VERY professional and courteous.
They're fine as long as things go right. But to get treated as if you were flying with a charter operation(ala Omni Air for us locals who fly the boyd packages to Vegas) is very blah. I'm guessing under no circumstances will they reaccomodate on another carrier. That's . Not to say that HA was much better when they had their airframe shortages some 9 months ago, but I don't think above posters gripes are unfair. No interest in flying ATA again... (But I'd probably be a sell out on a ridiculously cheap fare/mistake fare were the dates and locations to be of any meaning to me)

They're no legacy carrier... not to say legacy carriers are perfect..
