The aviation industry as a whole is getting killed right now. Boeing is down almost 10% since the beginning of the year eventhough they have recorded record sales for the year. The problem with AMR stock right now is it doesn't really have much of a support level since it broke through about the $19.00/share mark in late Nov early Dec. Since then it has been on a steady decline. CAL and DAL have also seen similar steady declines. It seems AMR's is a little more severe.
