In J Class do you mean the Marco Polo Business Class seats with out wings or the one with wings (which are still in use on regional aircrafts today, except the adjustment buttons were metal and the ones today are plastic press ones.
For F Class I never experienced it before the Betsy seats (the green flat beds) as too poor back then!
I think it was eletronic but does not have wings. The recline was not that good as I clearly remember I flew on a 340 in the old old configuration just behind F Class and the partitions were not that good back then and I can see the recline is quite similar to my J Class seats, onyl slightly deeper. And it is also 2/2/2
