The NRT concierge once helped me retrieve a tube I had left in the NRT F lounge. I realized I had forgotten it when I got on the plane and was in my seat. We were at a remote gate. At first, he was reluctant to get it, but he did jump on a bus, which shuttled him to the terminal, got me my tube, and then shuttled back, all in good time.
By contrast, on arrival at PEK in June 1999, the concierge was nowhere to be seen, and my bags came off just about LAST despite the bright orange Int'l First Class tags. Since concierge promises to retrieve and separate FC bags first, I was getting pretty worried!
On departure at PEK, no concierge either. Disappointing.
Also, no concierges in evidence at arrival in SIN, but since SIN is so easy to navigate and use, their absence was not a concern for me.
