pax should not have to carry the rules with them, the agents working the counter should be expected to know them, if not look into it. It is quite sad when we know the rules off the top of our head, yet many airline employees do not know the rules of the company they work for.

I believe AC departs T3 at SFO, the link shows that the RCC there is a *Gold lounge. Seems some airlines feel superior to others within the alliance, certainly the feeling I got from SQ in SYD.
