Thanks for this thread. I had the misfortune of gate agents just taking upgrades from my electronic account without asking if I had paper. This looked for all the world like a comped upgrade, so I said nothing. Now, I'm left with expired SWU and some 500 certs. E-mailed MP customer service and they were so blunt as to be rude and said, nope, you can't replace expired upgrades. When I asked for a second ruling, no response. So, I'll call and chat and see what can happen. Thank you, my friends.
