Good point! AC no longer serves, IIRC, as they now have the direct non-stop YVR-SYD (which I had checked already). Looks like the NZ flight is three-times weekly.

I guess I'm confused about this whole routing issue since I thought you can route other non-direct ways and you pay some kind of premium (but not two separate awards). Am I wrong on that? I thought one example was Asia via Europe. I don't recall it being two awards.
