If true (and it certainly seems to be the case), this is disappointing.

Based in PHX, e500's are of no value (especially with no conversion), SWUs are great, but AA gives 8. Drink chits were a nice and easy way for UA to make a flight a little more enjoyable, and it sounds like those have gone the way of the expired e500 miles.

Guess it's time to re-evaluate what program to credit for 2008. And yes, I realize that sounds pretty stupid given we're only talking about $50 in vouchers, but there are precious few other reasons to fly UA from PHX or any other TED-locked city.
