Keeping that in mind I'm scratching my head as to why they would list this auction for a "Plain White Envelope", are they just testing the waters because many eBayers try to include their SkyMiles items as "free" when purchasing a token item like an envelope? Furthermore, since someone apparently actually bought the envelope for $1 and paid another $1 for shipping one must ask what sane person would do such a crazy thing? Either someone willing to pay $2 in hopes that they would get a Positive feeback or (more than likely in my opinion) a Delta employee used their personal eBay account to purchase it so they could in turn leave revprotection_atg68733qg as Positive feedback - that way they would no longer have a Zero feeback rating.

Any other ideas as to what Delta's motivation would be in this matter?
DL does more than threaten buyers & sellers with warning emails.
eBay provides DL with buyer and seller contact info so that they can match up your eBay account information, registered and verified real name, mail address, telephone number, credit card info, email addresses etc against DL Skymiles database then when they get a hit, DL will deduct any Skymiles traced to eBay and void any open award tickets and may also prohibit offenders from further frequent flyer programs even with partners like Amex.

My neighbor got 60,000 Skymiles deducted because he bought them via several eBay sellers. He was lucky that just deducted the miles instead of taking away everything included his award tickets for honeymoon in Hawaii.

A guy we bowl with loss much more. Continental nailed him and his family of 4 during a connecting flight returning from Europe and he had to buy all new tickets because they voided the remainder of the award tickets, and to add insult to injury, builled him for segements already flown.

This might be a good question to ask Delta Revenue Protection Unit
(Corporate Security) directly.

Awhile ago someone gave me a contact name of Teresa Peterman at
(404) 714-5352

I've never had reason to call so I haven't checked it out.

I think the person who bought the plain envelope was someone inside DL Revenue Protection Unit and I think bought the envelope just so rev would have 1 positive feedback showing.

Would you buy something from on eBay from someone with no positive feedbacks at all?
