As far as the LCC model, many in the industry accept that LCCs are the way forward. It will be interesting to see.
The LH seating is flexible and easier to convert than the current BA seats.
Perhaps the reason why many corporates do not allow even relatively senior staff to travel CE is that there is no compelling value proposition and BA are not exactly offering one right now with the current CE product.
I pay the CE supplement myself when I fly CE and have no issue with this, I would be far more willing to pay a larger supplement if I thought I would get some real value as a result. IMHO the LH integrated airlines offer a much better and more consistent C product than BA which makes me much more willing to fly with them.
