Yesterday I spent almost the whole day trying to nail down some reward business class tickets for September/October. Wasn't easy - but I finally scored at about 6 pm. Two tickets for 180,000 miles - not bad. Excellent route too (JAX/ATL/CDG and back). One I would have chosen if I were buying the tickets. Although I searched through lots of days - I could only get these tickets during Fashion Week! So Fashion Week here I come .

I also decided to stay at the Four Seasons. For a week. Just Paris this trip. We will save Provence for another trip. I went on line myself - and spoke with the virtuoso agent I know (who also explores the FHR options). The bottom line is during Fashion Week - the rack rate is it. Not terribly surprising - because Fashion Week is 9 months down the road - and the hotel is almost 100% booked as of today. So that's it. We have our plane tickets - and our reservation and we're ready to go.

I do have one question about the rooms at the Four Seasons. If anyone knows - are Premium Rooms better than Deluxe rooms? It has been a long time since I've been at that hotel - and don't recall what kinds of rooms we had when we were there.

Also - do any of you have any idea how one would try to get some tickets for shows during Fashion Week? I will post this question in the France forum - but I thought I'd post it here too. Note that I am about the least fashionable person in the world - and have no contacts in the fashion industry. I do have some contacts for golf tournament tickets - but am totally clueless when it comes to fashion shows. Robyn
