Thanks for the responses everyone. I think I'll go ahead and fill out the missing points form on the website and see what happens. I don't usually stay at Hilton hotels (unless someone else is footing the bill ) and since the current amount of points I have isn't really enough for anything interesting, I guess I have nothing to lose...

As for restaurants, there are a ton within walking distance. The hotel is on the east side of Yildiz Cd. On the west side of Yildiz Cd. is a small park and on the west side of the park is Barbaros Blvd which is a major street. If you walk across the street to the west side of Barbaros there are few informal eateries. In you head south on Barbaros to where it meets with Besiktas Cd, this is a town center and there with a ton of restaurants of all types, shops, etc. It's about a quarter of a mile walk each way although the walk back to the hotel is mostly uphill There is a good fish restaurant near the fish market here named Ahtapot. If you walk a little further down there is a good place for meat (kebabs and such) but the name escapes me. I'll see if I can dig up that receipt. On the walk down you'll pass by Starbucks, Pizza Hut, and KFC as well just in case you are yearning for a taste of home.

Taksim Square is only about a 6-8 YTL taxi ride from Conrad and there are many places to eat and shop there as well. It's also walkable (about 1 mile) if you're motivated but has some fairly steep uphill parts.
