I was on a 321 a few years ago and we parked at a gate in BDL and the GA pulled the jetway to 2L. I was in F and the FA's at 1L were surprised when 2L was opened. They immediately got on the interphone and called the FA at 2L and the Captain. 2L was promptly closed and the jetway was repositioned to Door 1. The Captain was out of the cockpit at this time and none too pleased. He had a few words with the GA when 1L was opened about how close the engine is to 2L and it could easily have been hit by the jetway.
I can only hope the GA knows the difference between a A321 and a 757
