Easyjet (and Ryanair) fly from far more UK airports than BA do, and many of these airports, including some of their bases, haven't been cleared for more than one bag per passenger yet. It makes total sense for them to do this.

The truth is, the 1-bag limit probably benefitted me. I never travel with more than 1 bag anyway and since this came in its not been difficult to find overhead locker space to store it. It also sped up my trips through security.
I'm in the same boat, reintroducing two bags won't make a huge difference to my travels. Might be handy when travelling with the kids though.
