Yeah, they'll definitely look for the nice tailwind. I've been on flights with some pretty monster winds.. On one HKG-SFO flight, the crew mentioned we were cruising with a tailwind of 180 knots. We made the whole trip in a little over 10 hours. It was also the most consistently turbulent flight I've ever been on.
On a recent IAD-FRA flight, the tailwind got up to 160 knots, pushing our groundspeed well over 700 mph. That was also a quick flight, 6 hours and 40 minutes.
